Ward Manager

Mental Health Services (Young People) - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits - Horley

Are you a compassionate and experienced senior nurse ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? Or perhaps you're already a confident Ward Manager seeking a new and meaningful challenge? 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist service supporting young people aged 13-18 with a range of mental health needs, including mood disorders, psychosis, and co-occurring conditions such as autism or mild learning disabilities.

You'll lead a skilled and passionate team on a dedicated adolescent ward, delivering high standards of care in a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

What You'll Be Doing as Ward Manager:

As Ward Manager, you'll play a key leadership role-supporting your team clinically and professionally, ensuring the ward operates efficiently and safely, and that each young person receives person-centred, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities for the Ward Manager include:

Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team

Supporting clinical supervision, staff training, and team wellbeing

Driving standards of care in line with clinical governance frameworks

Managing ward budgets and contributing to service development

Taking the lead on shift and participating in the on-call rota

Acting as a role model and resource for complex clinical care and safeguarding

What You'll Need as a Ward Manager:

Registered Nurse qualification with valid NMC registration (RMN/RNLD/RGN with relevant experience)

Strong clinical and leadership background within a mental health or CAMHS setting

Excellent communication and team leadership skills

A proactive and supportive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
