About the Company:

Our client is a successful, family-run business based in Manchester and one of the UK’s leading packaging manufacturers, consultants, and suppliers. They are at the forefront of developing sustainable packaging solutions for a wide range of industries.

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for Extrusion Operatives to support the operation of production machinery within their manufacturing facility.

Key Duties:

• Operating extrusion and related production machinery

• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as needed

• Carrying out quality checks and reporting issues

• Using hand tools as part of the production process

• Working effectively in a fast-moving, hot, and noisy environment

• Following all health and safety procedures on site

• Basic computer input for tracking and monitoring production

• Supporting general production tasks as required

Candidate Requirements:

✅ Previous experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment
✅ Experience working 12-hour continental shifts (days and nights)
✅ Good level of physical fitness and manual dexterity
✅ Confident with basic maths and English (written and spoken)
✅ Comfortable working with hand tools
✅ Background in plastics manufacturing preferred
✅ Strong awareness of health and safety
✅ Computer literate
✅ Forklift truck licence desirable but not essential

Shift Patterns:

🕖 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

📅 Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
📅 Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

💰 All breaks are fully paid – no deductions from your shift pay.
