Job Overview

Join our busy and expanding team in Heywood as a Laptop Cleaning Operative, where your attention to detail will help ensure refurbished IT equipment is returned to customers in excellent condition. You will be responsible for cleaning, preparing, and packaging laptops and accessories to a high professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean laptops using an air compressor, including vents, ports, and external surfaces
• Thoroughly clean and sanitise keyboards, screens, and casings
• Ensure all devices are professionally bagged and packaged after cleaning
• Identify cosmetic issues and report findings to the refurbishment team
• Follow strict handling and cleaning procedures to prevent damage
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Support general warehouse duties when required (e.g., stock movement or organisation)

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality output
• Comfortable using cleaning tools such as air compressors, microfiber cloths, sprays, and wipes
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Good spoken and written English
• Previous experience in cleaning, warehouse work, or IT refurbishment is beneficial but not essential
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
