Account Handler 

Manchester / £35,000 - £40,000 DOE / Full Time 

An insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Account Handler to support the onboarding of commercial insurance clients. This role suits someone with a strong background in commercial account handling who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment.

You will manage new business enquiries, gather underwriting information, assist with quotations, liaise with insurers, and ensure policies are set up accurately and compliantly. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will help deliver a smooth, professional onboarding experience and support the development of long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities for the Account Handler include:

  • Handling new business enquiries and preparing quotes
  • Liaising with insurers to obtain competitive terms
  • Supporting client onboarding and policy documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records on a commercial insurance CRM
  • Working collaboratively across teams
  • Ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met

Requirements for the Account Handler include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial insurance account handling
  • New business experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Acturis and Microsoft Office experience desirable
  • Proactive, professional and client‑focused approach
