Registered Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: Liverpool Salary: £50,000+ per annum (DOE)
Contract: Fixed-term (6–9 months)
Start Date: 1 July 2026 Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:00 or 9:00–17:00

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a well-established 40-bed residential care home supporting adult residents, including those living with dementia. This maternity cover role is ideal for a confident leader who can maintain high standards of care, compliance, and team performance within a supportive and stable environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation

  • Provide strong, visible leadership to the care team

  • Maintain and enhance high standards of person-centred care

  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and resident wellbeing

  • Manage staffing, recruitment, training, and performance

  • Maintain occupancy levels and support the admissions process

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals

  • Monitor budgets and ensure efficient use of resources

  • Promote a positive, homely, and respectful environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step up

  • Proven experience within an adult residential care home

  • Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage a medium-sized service (approx. 40 beds)

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
