We are currently recruiting compassionate and experienced Outreach Support Workers to provide 2:1 support for a young person with complex additional needs within the community and home environment.
This rewarding role involves supporting a non-verbal young person with learning disabilities, sensory needs, and epilepsy through structured activities, community access, and person-centred support.
Role Responsibilities
- Providing safe 2:1 community outreach support
- Supporting sensory-based and physical activities
- Promoting emotional wellbeing and engagement
- Supporting personal care and daily living needs
- Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to health or behavioural needs
- Following safeguarding, risk management, and behaviour support procedures
- Building positive and trusting relationships
Ideal Candidate
✔ Experience supporting young people with complex needs
✔ Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and sensory processing needs
✔ Epilepsy awareness and seizure management knowledge
✔ Experience with non-verbal communication approaches
✔ Calm, patient, and reliable approach
✔ Driver required
✔ Comfortable working within a 2:1 support package

Working Hours
📅 Saturdays & Sundays
⏰ 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Additional hours may be available during school holidays.
Important Information
The young person requires constant supervision due to limited awareness of danger and complex health needs. Consistency, safeguarding awareness, and a person-centred approach are essential.
