Our client is a well-established specialist in retail shop fitting, delivering high-quality fit out projects for major brands across the UK. With a strong pipeline of secured work and established framework agreements for the year ahead, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Manchester-based team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the continued growth of the business, taking ownership of the full estimating function. This is an office-based position requiring a commercially astute estimator with proven experience in retail fit out / shop fitting who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full estimating process for multiple retail fit out projects.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and detailed cost breakdowns.
Review and manage incoming enquiries, tender packages and drawings.
Conduct site visits and surveys across the UK as required.
Engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to develop competitive and accurate tenders.
Submit tenders, follow up, and play a critical role in winning work.
Oversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring estimates remain accurate and variations are managed.
Work closely with the commercial and project delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Estimator specifically within retail fit out / shop fitting - this is essential.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to produce accurate and competitive estimates.
Confident conducting site surveys and interpreting technical drawings.
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Local to Manchester or within a commutable distance.
Must be office-based and able to integrate with the team from day one.
Not seeking candidates from a general subcontractor background looking to "try their hand" - shop fitting experience is a priority.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to visit sites nationwide.
