Project Manager - Construction Consultancy

Greater Manchester | £55,000-£60,000 + benefits

Residential & Local Authority Projects | £3M-£20M

About the Role

A leading construction consultancy in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing development team. This is a full client‑facing role, responsible for overseeing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring successful delivery across residential and local authority schemes.

You will manage project performance, coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, maintain control of budgets, and act as the key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects valued between £3M and £20M.

     

  • Act as the primary client interface, ensuring strong relationships and high-quality service.

     

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to delivery and handover.

     

  • Manage and coordinate internal and external consultants, ensuring aligned project objectives.

     

  • Monitor project budgets, financial performance, and risk management.

     

  • Prepare and present progress reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

     

  • Support the development team with strategic input and project planning.

     

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practice.

     

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within a construction consultancy environment.

     

  • Strong background delivering residential and/or local authority projects.

     

  • Demonstrable experience managing full project lifecycles and multidisciplinary teams.

     

  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.

     

  • Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.

     

  • Based in, or able to commute to, Greater Manchester.

     

  • Professional qualifications (APM, RICS, CIOB) are advantageous but not essential.
