The Role:
Time Recruitment is managing this fantastic opportunity for an experienced Litigation Manager to lead a Housing Disrepair Team within a respected law firm. This is a senior management role overseeing a team and reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that agreed repairs for clients are completed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of litigation management and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and motivating a team, identifying training needs and overseeing performance.
- Recruiting and onboarding new team members as required.
- Acting as a technical referral point for fee earners within the department.
- Ensuring all court deadlines are met and cases progress efficiently.
- Building strong relationships with counsel and other key stakeholders.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure a collaborative working environment.
- Supporting the smooth running of the business by carrying out additional duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will be an experienced litigator with staff management experience. You must be able to manage a department effectively, ensuring cases progress in a timely and organised manner. A strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), including Part 8 proceedings, is essential.
You should also be comfortable working in a target-driven environment while maintaining exceptional client care, particularly when dealing with vulnerable clients.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in litigation and staff management.
- Highly organised and self-motivated.
- Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
- IT literate with the ability to work efficiently with case management systems (Proclaim experience preferred but not essential).
- Experience in Housing Disrepair or Housing Conditions litigation is advantageous.
