Time Recruitment is looking for a dedicated Production Operative for a well-established leading manufacturer specialised in Sheel metal. Due to expansion we are recruiting for Production Operatives to work at our factories in Leyland , Moss Side Industrial Estate.
Job description Production Operative
Working within our Painting, Cutting, Drilling & Assembly departments using a large of equipment from small hand tools to large Bridge Saws and Drilling machines to process a range of materials such as natural stone, granite and porcelain. Requirements Operating the machines efficiently to produce high quality products in a safe and controlled environment. Liaising with site engineers at the first sign of any mechanical or electrical issue arising, during the normal operation of the equipment.
Keeping the machine components clean, to optimise their effectiveness and performance during processing. Oversee and organise the change overs from one product type to another. Skills Required
Ability to keep a calm head under pressure and having the confidence to make decisions. Understanding the importance of production deadlines and working towards meeting the daily process objectives in a positive manner. Knowledge and experience of working to ISO standards within manufacturing will be an advantage. The ability to read and understand technical drawings and production paperwork Good numeracy skills and understanding of the metric measurement system is essential. Have the ability to communicate and deal with colleagues at all levels; production floor, management and directors. Understanding of the importance of Health and Safety Team player, who has a pro-active, inquisitive, forward thinking and flexible attitude to work and working hours.
Qualifications Previous experience of working within a production environment would be beneficial but full training will be given to the right candidate.
Salary 11.46 £ /Hour - Day shift 12.60 £/Hour - Night Shift Working Hours Monday to Friday 7:00 - 16:30 Overtime is available subject to production requirements . Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From £11.46 per hour
