I'm working with a highly regarded Manchester-based law firm to recruit a Team Leader - Personal Injury with strong Multi-Track experience. This is a confidential opportunity to step into a leadership role within a genuinely friendly and collaborative team that places a huge emphasis on employee wellbeing, development, and culture.

The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for a solicitor with 6-12 years' PQE who is ready to take on a leadership position. You'll handle a high-quality caseload of EL/PL/OL and RTA matters, primarily Multi-Track, while also supervising and mentoring one fee earner and one trainee solicitor. The role includes dedicated time for team development and process improvement.

The team is known for being personable, close-knit, and supportive-they're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and brings a positive, approachable leadership style.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small but growing team (1 fee earner + 1 trainee)
  • Manage a high-quality caseload of personal injury claims, mainly Multi-Track
  • Provide mentoring, training, and casework guidance
  • Contribute to team development and operational improvements
  • Attend monthly in-person team meetings and file clinics (Wednesdays)
  • Work 2 days per week in the Manchester office as part of a flexible hybrid model

What They're Looking For

  • Qualified solicitor with 6-12 years' PQE
  • Strong experience in Multi-Track personal injury litigation
  • Friendly, approachable, and confident in a leadership role
  • Passionate about mentoring and contributing to a positive team culture

What's on Offer

  • £45,000-£50,000 salary + performance-based bonus
  • Reduced personal caseload to allow time for team leadership
  • Car parking space
  • Flexible hybrid working
  • On-site gym access
  • Extensive wellbeing support
  • Clear progression into senior leadership
  • Ongoing training and recognition

If you're a technically strong PI solicitor ready to step into a team leadership role with a firm that genuinely values its people, this could be the perfect next step. Get in touch for a confidential chat-I'd love to tell you more.
