Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s busy manufacturing team in Middleton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well‑established organisation, supporting production and ensuring machinery runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair mechanical equipment and production machinery.

• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.

• Work closely with production staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance schedules.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.

• Contribute to process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
