We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Care Coordinator to join a growing domiciliary care team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced care environment and is ready to take the next step toward a more people‑focused, HR‑aligned career path.
What You'll Be Doing as Senior Care Coordinator
As a Senior Care Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring high‑quality care is delivered to people in their own homes. You'll support the smooth running of the service and the training of 2 care coordinators while taking on additional responsibilities that prepare you for future progression into HR, compliance, or operational leadership.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating daily care schedules and ensuring all visits are covered safely and efficiently
- Supporting care staff with guidance, problem‑solving and day‑to‑day leadership
- Acting as a point of contact for clients, families and external professionals
- Managing urgent changes, responding to incidents and ensuring continuity of care
- Completing care assessments, reviews and quality checks
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Assisting with recruitment tasks such as interviewing, onboarding and training
- Supporting HR‑related duties including staff supervision, performance monitoring and wellbeing initiatives
What We're Looking For in a Senior Care Coordinator
You'll be a great fit if you are:
- Experienced in domiciliary care coordination or a similar role
- Confident managing schedules, staff and client needs
- Calm under pressure and able to make quick, safe decisions
- Organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively
- A strong communicator with a supportive leadership style
- Passionate about delivering excellent care and developing others
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in care coordination
- Strong understanding of CQC expectations
- Good IT and administrative skills (Usage of People Planner)
- Full UK driving licence
