Spindle Moulder Operator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Spindle Moulder Operator to join a busy woodworking and manufacturing environment in Rochdale on a temporary basis, with the potential for long-term work. This role is ideal for someone with woodworking experience who is confident using machinery and working to high levels of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up the spindle moulder in line with production specifications and safety requirements.
  • Work with a variety of timber components, ensuring precise shaping, profiling, and finishing.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on all produced items, making adjustments to tooling or machine settings where necessary.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure correct product dimensions and profiles.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working area, performing basic maintenance and routine checks on machinery.
  • Support wider production tasks when required to meet daily and weekly targets.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating a spindle moulder or similar woodworking machinery is essential.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking practices, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Must wear safety boots and a hi‑vis vest throughout the shift.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday- 08:00 to 17:30

Includes:

  • 1 unpaid 30‑minute lunch break
  • Two paid 15‑minute breaks (morning and afternoon)
