Job description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our team on a temp‑to‑perm basis. The ideal candidate will be confident and competent in both TIG and MIG welding, able to work independently, and capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings. This role involves welding carbon steel and stainless steel, as well as assembling components to create high‑quality finished products. We are looking for someone hardworking, reliable, and detail‑focused with a genuine pride in craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG and MIG welding (TIG is essential)
- Reading and understanding manufacturing drawings
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications
- Ensuring all parts required for assembly are available
- Accurate fitting and alignment of parts
- Meeting all required quality standards
- Maintaining production schedules and managing stakeholder expectations
- Reporting and documenting any product issues or malfunctions
Health & Safety Requirements
- Work to the highest Health & Safety standards at all times
- Raise any safety concerns with management or colleagues
- Wear correct PPE at all times
- Report all accidents and near misses
- Report any necessary machinery or equipment repairs
- Maintain a tidy, organised working environment
Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years welding experience
Qualifications
- Relevant welding qualification certificates must be submitted with the application
- Onsite weld test required during interview
Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7am to 5pm
- 38‑hour working week
- Fridays: Closed
Pay
- £17 per hour
