Building Manager - Commercial Property
Location: Central Manchester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Are you passionate about property management with a people-first mindset? We're on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Building Manager to lead day-to-day operations at a landmark commercial property in the heart of Manchester.

As Building Manager, you'll take the reins of a prominent city-centre building, ensuring its smooth operation and delivering exceptional service to occupiers and stakeholders. From contractor coordination to sustainability initiatives, this is a chance to make a tangible impact in a dynamic, community-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of hard and soft services, ensuring high-quality standards throughout
- Deliver a first-class occupier experience through active engagement and reliable service
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement the building's operational strategy
- Manage service charge budgets and reporting, maintaining full financial control
- Ensure statutory and internal compliance, meeting RICS, ISO and ESG standards
- Lead a small on-site team, fostering a culture of service, sustainability and inclusivity
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrable experience in contract and contractor management
- Budget setting, monitoring and reconciliation experience
- Proven track record in customer and client relationship management
- Technically proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- IOSH qualification
Desirable
- NEBOSH certification
- IWFM membership
- Interest in ESG and sustainability practices
- Familiarity with risk management, CAFM systems and compliance monitoring
