Job Opportunity: FLT Counterbalance / Production Operative

Location: Trafford Park, Manchester

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Shifts: Rotating 2-Week Pattern

  • Week 1-2: 6:00am - 2:30pm

     

  • Week 3-4: 9:00am - 6:30pm

     

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard-working FLT Counterbalance / Production Operative to join a well-established business based in Trafford Park. You will play a key role in ensuring that materials arriving on site and leaving site are accurate, safe, and in good condition-contributing directly to a safe working environment and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the FLT Counterbalance to assist with loading and unloading customer orders accurately and efficiently

     

  • Conduct daily equipment checks and basic maintenance

     

  • Oversee the loading and unloading of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods

     

  • Follow the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products to customers

     

  • Ensure raw materials and semi-finished goods are prepared ahead of production

     

  • Monitor and maintain correct storage of finished products

     

  • Start and supervise the production process

     

  • Manage support tasks such as cleaning and equipment calibration

     

  • Handle production-related admin  (e.g. production and transport orders)

     

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace

     

  • Ensure smooth communication during shift handovers

     

  • Promote and model correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on site

     

Requirements

  • Valid FLT Counterbalance licence 

     

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred
