Southport, Merseyside | £28,000-£40,000 DOE | Permanent | Hybrid Working after qualifying period

Position Summary

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Claims Handler to manage a varied portfolio across motor, property, liability, cyber, and professional indemnity. You'll be the go-to person for clients, guiding them through the claims process with empathy, efficiency, and expertise.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Claims Management: Handle cross-class claims from start to finish

     

  • Client Advocacy: Be the trusted voice for clients, ensuring fair outcomes

     

  • Negotiation: Work with insurers and third parties to secure optimal settlements

     

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance

     

  • Customer Service: Deliver responsive, empathetic support

     

  • Loss Prevention: Recommend strategies to reduce future risk

     

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and regulations

     

Key Performance Indicators

  • Timely claims closure

     

  • High client satisfaction

     

  • Accurate and fair settlements

     

  • Effective cost management

     

  • Full compliance with industry standards

     

Key Relationships

  • Clients, insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, repair contractors

     

  • Internal teams including Account Executives

     

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in claims handling (broker or similar environment)

     

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - chatty and confident is a plus!

     

  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills

     

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting

     

  • Familiarity with Acturis and Microsoft Office

     

  • A client-first mindset and problem-solving attitude
