About the Role
As Deputy Care Manager, you'll support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operations of the service and help ensure high-quality, person-centred care is consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Care Manager include:
- Act as the key point of contact for clients and care staff, resolving queries and maintaining strong relationships.
- Assist in the coordination of care services, including assessments, care planning, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and conduct regular staff supervision.
- Attend client reviews, manage updates to care plans, and participate in quality assurance processes.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new carers.
- Participate in the on-call rota and cover care calls in emergencies.
- Ensure all communications and records are kept up to date using care planning software.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience working in the care sector.
- NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (with commitment to achieve Level 3).
- A Social Care Portfolio (courses, certificates, CPD).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
- IT proficiency.
- Clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Previous experience in office administration and coordinating care schedules.
- Leadership experience or experience supporting a Registered Manager.
