Job description
Due to continued growth our client situated in Dukinfield are looking for a multi-skilled operative to cover both manufacturing and despatch roles.
Summary of Role:
As a Manufacturing and Despatch Operative, you will play a key role in our goods in and despatch area, ensuring high-quality products are manufactured and dispatched to meet customer demands.
This is a physically demanding, manual role that requires a commitment to supporting our 24/7 operations. Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficient handling of goods in and out of the facility.
Booking in received goods and preparing shipments for dispatch using couriers such as FedEx, DPD, and other carriers.
Supporting the manufacture and processing of materials to customer specifications, including:
Measuring and cutting various materials to precise sizes.
Operating machinery to weld, press, and profile materials.
Manufacturing of curved belts, roller shutters, and high-speed doors.
Printing logos using heat treatment and ink printing machines.
Perforating materials using both machinery and manual methods.
Ensuring accurate record-keeping and data input into our SAP system for all production and dispatch activities.
Multiskilling across various departments and processes to support business needs.
What We're Looking For:
A proactive attitude and willingness to respond to customer demands.
Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and handling heavy equipment.
Experience or knowledge of booking and dispatch processes (experience with FedEx, DPD, and international shipping is an advantage).
A team player with a keen desire to learn and adapt to other processes within the company.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
Key Measures of Success:
Meeting quality standards with minimal product returns.
Ensuring on-time delivery and maintaining a high ACR (on-time delivery measurement).

08.00 - 16.00 hours Monday to Friday but could change to
