Job Specification: Electrical Estimator Location: Liverpool Office Position: Electrical Estimator Salary: Negotiable Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexible for school runs)
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Liverpool office. This role involves minimal site visits, focusing primarily on office-based responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management and be adept at analyzing drawings, reviewing specifications, and preparing accurate tenders. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to exciting projects within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze drawings and packages to review specifications and understand scopes of work. Prepare accurate and competitive tenders by pricing materials and labor. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective sourcing. Work closely with stakeholders, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information and clarify project details. Use estimating software to develop detailed and precise estimates. Participate in competitive tenders and framework tenders. Manage tenders for clients including the NHS, local councils, and police departments.
Qualifications and Experience: Relevant degree in Construction Management or a related field. Strong background in the construction industry, specifically in electrical estimating. Proficiency in using estimating software. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with team members and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
