Job Title: Estimator 

Location: Office-Based

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Company Car + Incentives

Sector: Main Contractor - Fit-Out & Refurbishment Contract

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

Our client is a reputable main contractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and play a pivotal role in securing new business. This is a strategic hire, aimed at bringing onboard an individual with strong industry contacts and the ability to win work independently. Operating across fit-out and refurbishment projects, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing the full tender submission process. The successful candidate will demonstrate both commercial awareness and a strong understanding of pricing across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately estimate costs for projects ranging from £50,000 to £750,000

Prepare and submit competitive, detailed tenders

Manage and coordinate tender documentation and submission timelines

Bid for public and private sector frameworks, including authoring robust Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs)

Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

Leverage existing industry contacts to generate new business opportunities

What We're Looking

For Proven experience as an Estimator in fit-out and refurbishment environments

Strong network of industry contacts

Demonstrable success in winning work and contributing to business growth

Knowledge of current market rates, subcontractor pricing, and supply chain management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
