Job Title: Machine Operator - Bespoke Kitchen Furniture

Location: Richmond Furniture Ltd, Regent House Hadfield Industrial estate, Waterside, Glossop SK13 1BS

Salary: £11.90 per hour

We are a prestigious manufacturer of bespoke kitchen furniture based in the scenic town of Glossop. Renowned for our craftsmanship and quality, we produce exceptional, made-to-order kitchen solutions tailored to meet our clients' unique specifications and styles. We are currently expanding our operations and are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our dynamic production team.

The Role:
As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and fabrication of our bespoke kitchen furniture. This position requires operating a variety of machinery, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring high standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage woodworking machinery including saws, and drills.
Assemble components of kitchen furniture as per technical drawings and specifications.
Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
Manual handling of materials and products safely and efficiently.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization within the work area.
Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality expectations.

Requirements:

Experience in operating machinery, ideally within the woodworking or furniture manufacturing industry.

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Basic understanding of technical drawings and machinery manuals.
Strong physical condition, capable of manual handling and standing for extended periods.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
A proactive approach to safety, adhering strictly to all workplace safety regulations.

The hours of work are Monday - Thursday 08.00 - 16.30 and Friday 08.00 - 14.10. There is unpaid 30 minutes lunch break Monday - Thursday. There is 10 minutes unpaid break on Friday.

The working week is set at 38 hours per week. Overtime will be paid at time 1/3 after 38 hours and time +1/3 for the first 4 hours on Saturday. Time +1/2 will be paid after 4 hours on Saturday and on Sunday
