Our client are a leading manufacturer of soda crystals and maintain an important share of the domestic cleaning market, and their derivatives - Sodium Sesquicarbonate and Sodium Carbonate Monohydrate - are growing in volume as new markets are uncovered for these speciality products.
With that in mind we are looking for a number of process operators to join their team.
As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for working in the soda powder department.
Working hours scheduled from 06:00am - 2pm Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
* Operate machinery and equipment in the production process
* Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and consistency
* Perform heavy lifting tasks in the soda powder department
* Adhere to safety guidelines and wear mandatory safety shoes and hi-vis clothing
* Monitor and control production processes to maximize efficiency
* Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain product standards
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets
* Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred
* Ability to work effectively in a rotating shift schedule
* Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
* Familiarity with safety protocols and willingness to wear safety shoes and hi-vis clothing
* Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
* Basic knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance is an advantage
* Reliable and punctual
