Job Specification: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington, United Kingdom
Position Type: Full-Time, Office-Based
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team based in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Commercial Director and contribute to a close-knit team focused on office fit-out, refurbishment projects, and building maintenance. The successful candidate will have a client-facing role with estimating responsibilities and will play a crucial part in our expansion plans, primarily focusing on CAT B contracts within the North West region and throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating Duties: Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for office fit-out, refurbishment, and building maintenance projects, ensuring that projects are financially viable and meet the client's requirements.
Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining positive relationships and addressing their needs, concerns, and queries effectively.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the Commercial Director and the rest of the team to deliver high-quality projects and contribute to the growth of the organization.
Cost Management: Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that all expenditures align with budgetary constraints.
Contract Administration: Administer contracts, manage contract variations, and ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to oversee the progress of projects and ensure that they adhere to quality and safety standards.
Geographic Scope: Be prepared to work on projects across the North West, including Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and various locations throughout the UK.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally within office fit-out, refurbishment, and building maintenance projects.
Strong knowledge of CAT B contracts.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost estimation and project management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Personal Attributes:

Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic and evolving industry.
