Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Remote Working)

Location: North (Remote working with the option to use the Stoke office if necessary)

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 (dependent on experience)

Reporting to: Commercial Director

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Responsibilities:
Oversee budgeting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and submit accurate tender documents and proposals.
Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor project progress and manage financial aspects, including variations and final accounts.
Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director to ensure project profitability and financial success.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve any commercial issues.
Provide commercial support and advice to project teams as required.
Conduct site visits weekly to fortnightly to assess progress and resolve any commercial matters.
Prepare and present regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and contractual obligations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project costs and financials.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control principles.
Experience in tendering, contract negotiation, and subcontractor management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
Flexibility to travel to project sites across the North, from Nottingham to Lancashire.
Familiarity with construction contracts and relevant legislation.
Proficiency in using construction industry software and Microsoft Office Suite.
