Registered General Nurse - Luxury Care Home

Location: Scraptoft, Leicester

Salary: £21.55 per hour + paid breaks and handover

Hours: 24 to 48 hours per week (2 or 4 shifts)

Shifts: Mixed Days & Nights (8am-8pm)

 

Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse seeking a rewarding role in a high-quality care environment? This a purpose-built luxury care home in the historic town of Scraptoft, Leicester, is looking for dedicated RGN professionals to join our exceptional team.

 

About the service:

 

The home offers five-star living and care, creating a true home for their residents. Conveniently located with excellent transport links, this 91-bed facility is divided into residential and nursing units, including:

 

-     Ground Floor: 28-bed general nursing unit

-     First Floor: 29-bed mixed general nursing and dementia unit

 

You'll always be supported by another Registered Nurse on shift and a nurse associate trained in medication and bloods, ensuring manageable medication rounds (average of 14 residents).

 

Key Responsibilities for the Registered Nurse role:

 

-     Syringe driver and pain management

-     Palliative and end-of-life care

-     Dementia care and behaviour management

-     Wound care and risk assessments

-     Safeguarding and diabetes management

-     Continence care and catheterisation

-     Bloods, PEG feeding, and observations

-     Electronic MARS and care planning

-     GP rounds and physical health checks

Person Specification for the Registered Nurse role:

 

-     RGN qualified and NMC registered

-     Syringe driver trained (or willing to refresh)
