About the Company: We are a well-established main contractor based in Stockport, specializing in a diverse range of projects across the UK. Due to the impending retirement of our Senior Quantity Surveyor, we are seeking a qualified replacement to join our team.
Job Overview: The role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is critical to the success of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate cost control and contributing to the growth and success of our expanding business.
Responsibilities: Project Financial Management: Oversee and manage the financial aspects of projects ranging from £100K to £10Mil in value. Team Collaboration: Work closely with a small team and mentor a junior Quantity Surveyor, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Fit Out and Design & Build: Manage both fit-out and design & build projects with a focus on Commercial, Leisure, High-End Retail, Bars and Restaurants, Cinemas, and bespoke fittings. Pressure Management: Work efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines and financial targets. Nationwide Sites: Oversee projects nationwide, occasionally requiring overnight stays (expenses paid), while still being based locally to our Stockport office. Independent Work: Demonstrate the ability to work independently while ensuring effective communication with the team.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on fit-out and design & build projects. Previous experience managing a small team is advantageous. Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Package: Salary: Dependent on Experience (£50K-£60K DOE). Standard benefits package. Expenses paid.
