Their Permanent Structures Division is experiencing sustained growth, supported by a strong order book and repeat clients across Healthcare, Education, and Defence.

 

Role Overview

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key commercial role within the Permanent Structures Division, managing a mix of framework agreements and competitively tendered projects. You will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of projects, ensuring cost control, value optimisation, and commercial risk management from pre-contract through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of multiple modular construction projects across the UK

  •  

  • Managing projects secured via frameworks and tenders

  •  

  • Preparation and management of budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts

  •  

  • Procurement and management of subcontractors and supply chain

  •  

  • Valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts

  •  

  • Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunities

  •  

  • Supporting pre-construction and tendering activities where required

  •  

  • Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure commercial success

  •  

  • Reporting on project performance to senior management

  •

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction (modular experience advantageous but not essential)

  •  

  • Experience managing projects from pre-contract to final account

  •  

  • Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management

  •  

  • Experience working on framework agreements and tendered projects

  •  

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  •  

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  •  

  • Willingness to travel to UK sites as required

  •  

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
