. Day Staff Nurse - Hampton Court Care Home

Bilston, Wolverhampton 

24 hours per week | 7-day rota | Shifts: 8am-8pm

£20.35 per hour + paid breaks + incredible training and development!

 

Are you a dedicated RGN or RMN with a passion for dementia care?

 

We are recruiting for an award winning; highly esteemed care home in Bilston is seeking a Day Staff Nurse to join our skilled and supportive team. With 73 beds including 20 for complex dementia they specialise in person-centred care for residents living with dementia.

-     Two Staff Nurses per shift, supported by 15 Carers

-     On-site management with 24-hour on-call support

-     Led by experienced professionals:

-     Home Manager in post since 2019, brings deep expertise in dementia and complex care

-     The deputy is a seasoned RGN with a strong background in complex dementia leadership

 

‍⚕️ Your role as a Day Staff Nurse, you'll be responsible for:

 

-     Supporting residents and care staff

-     Evaluating risks and promoting best practice

-     Educating and mentoring the team

-     Planning and allocating shift duties

-     Meeting visitors and writing care reports

-     Reviewing care plans and reporting safeguarding or health & safety concerns

 

What We're Looking For a Day Staff Nurse: 

 

-     RGN/RMN with current NMC PIN

-     Mandatory training in Fire Safety, COSHH, Elderly care, Manual Handling, Infection Control, Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and Safety Intervention

 

Experience & Skills for the Day Staff Nurse role: 

 

-     Proven nursing experience in a care setting

-     Supervisory or management experience

-     Strong understanding of person-centred care

-     Drug administration and up-to-date nursing practices

-     Excellent communication and organisational skills

-     IT proficiency (Word, Excel, tablets)

-     Ability to lead shifts independently

 

Preferred experience: 

 

-     Experience in elderly care, dementia, or disability support and knowledge of advanced/specialist dementia.
