Job description
Picking and Packing Operative
My client offers innovative direct mail production, print and design services throughout the UK, working with both independent businesses and blue-chip companies. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are seeking a Picking and Packing Operative to support our expanding operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Picking and packing requested orders for a variety of jobs

Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required

Ensuring accuracy of order information

Identifying and reporting any errors or issues during the picking and packing process

Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programmes

Collaborating with managers and colleagues to implement company policies and goals

Identifying training needs
-
Following company procedures related to Health & Safety, including equipment checks and prompt reporting of accidents or injuries

Promoting a positive culture around Health, Safety & Environment and ensuring effective systems are in place

Ensuring the safety of oneself and others
-
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Additional Duties:
Packing staff will be expected to carry out a variety of tasks, including preparing and packing goods, as well as general warehouse duties.
Candidate Requirements:

Ideally previous packing experience

Good level of communication skills
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Working Hours:
You’ll work a 37.5-hour week across 5 days, covering either early or late shifts:
Earlies:
-
Monday to Friday: 08:30–16:30

Sunday: 08:30–16:30
Lates:
-
Monday to Friday: 10:30–18:30

Sunday: 10:30–18:30
