We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fabricator Welder to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to a high standard, following technical drawings and safety procedures. This role operates on a rotating shift pattern.
Working Hours
Shifts may include:
6:00am - 2:00pm
2:00pm - 10:00pm
10:00pm - 6:00am
Flexibility to work any of the above shifts is required.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and weld metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications
Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high quality and consistent standard
Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, strength, and finish
Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work independently or as part of a team to meet production targets
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year proven experience as a Fabricator Welder
Must be fully conversant in MIG welding, steel fabrication, and general engineering practices
Experience working to engineering drawings is essential
MIG and TIG welding experience is essential
Previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively on the shop floor
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards
Weld Test
A weld test is required prior to starting the role to assess skill level and welding quality.
Desirable Skills (Optional)
Ability to work rotating or night shifts
Basic fitting and fabrication skills
