Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Salford (Office & Site Based)

Salary: Competitive - Dependent on Experience (DOE)

Start Date: Within 1 month

 

The Company

Our client is a growing construction business with a strong and expanding presence in the North West. Continued growth over the past year has driven increased use of their Salford office and created the need to strengthen their commercial team. With a healthy pipeline of work and a hands-on leadership team, this is an excellent opportunity for a developing Quantity Surveyor to progress their career.

 

The Role

Due to increased workload, our client is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Director (a Quantity Surveyor by background), offering excellent mentorship, guidance, and long-term development.

This role will be predominantly office and site based (circa 90%) and will also involve assisting with estimating and tendering activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Commercial management of projects valued between £500k - £10m

Cost control, reporting, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle

Preparation and management of valuations, variations, and final accounts

Supporting estimating and tendering processes as required

Working closely with project teams to ensure commercial success

Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

 

Project Types

New build and refurbishment projects

Sectors include Healthcare, Commercial, Education, and others

 

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor

Experience across new build and/or refurbishment projects

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

Willingness to support estimating and tendering when required

Comfortable working from office and site environments

Motivated individual keen to develop under experienced leadership
