About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Operator to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in CNC machining and bench hand joinery, who can translate technical drawings into precision-crafted components.

You’ll be working closely with designers, engineers, and workshop staff to bring architectural and bespoke joinery projects to life. From concept to completion, your input will be vital in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed CAD drawings for construction and joinery projects
  • Interpret architectural plans and convert them into manufacturing-ready designs
  • Collaborate with CNC machinists to ensure seamless production workflows
  • Assist in prototyping and problem-solving during fabrication stages
  • Liaise with site teams and project managers to ensure design intent is maintained
  • Maintain drawing standards and documentation for compliance and quality control
  • Support bench joinery tasks when required, especially during complex builds

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CAD Operator in a construction or manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable)
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machinery and programming
  • Background in bench hand joinery with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
