Job description
Our client are currently recruiting for an experienced electrical maintenance engineer at their manufacturing bakery site.
ABOUT
Our client is a large, well established family business which has been producing craft bakery goods for over 60 years. They are an award winning company with a strong reputation and a passion for craft baking. They operate two manufacturing sites producing retail and wholesale products with BRC accreditation as well as a number of retail shops.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager, the role includes electrical and mechanical maintenance with some installation as required to service and maintain the production plant, ancillary services and property. Production departments produce a broad range of products and equipment includes PLC systems and robotics.
Your daily duties will include, but not limited to:
* Working as part of the team to carry out installations, repairs, corrective and preventative maintenance tasks in adherence to compliance and regulatory standards
* Ensure that all health and safety policies and permit systems are adhered to and any risks are reported in line with the company and regulatory process.
* Actively diagnose and resolve issues on phase 3 process plant, mechanical and electrical machinery.
* Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules
THE HOURS
To provide 24/7 cover - variable 4 on, 4 off shift system (based on 12 hours daily)
THE PERSON
* Must have a minimum of Level 3 recognized electrical qualification (or equivalent) with some mechanical and ancillary services experience
* Must have at least 5 years electrical experience after an apprenticeship or education period.
* Must have either 17th or 18th edition Wiring Regulations Qualification.
* You must have experience working on a wide range of food processing plant and ancillary equipment or working from a similar fast-moving process plant environment.
* Must have the ability to work from technical manuals, varied wiring diagrams and using technical support to methodically diagnose electrical faults on a wide range of complex equipment.
* Must have strong diagnosis skills with a confident methodical approach to problem solving.
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be a positive, motivated team player with a "can and will do attitude".
* You must be eligible to work in the UK.
* Must have a clean UK driver's licence.
