Job Title: Order Picker with Forklift Counterbalance License


Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 AM - 5:00 PM - 30 minute unpaid break

Job Description:

Join our team at a prominent manufacturer of kitchen furniture and components located in Oldham. We are currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative for a temp-to-perm role within our dynamic warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will also need to possess a valid UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Picking: Utilize pick sheets to accurately and efficiently gather products and materials for customer orders.
Quality Control: Perform rigorous quality inspections on finished products to ensure they adhere to our stringent standards. Promptly identify and address any defects or discrepancies.
Loading and Unloading: Handle the loading and unloading of materials and products from delivery trucks with care, adhering to proper handling and storage protocols.
Forklift Operation: As needed, operate a forklift counterbalance truck to assist with material handling tasks, which includes the safe maneuvering of the forklift for loading, unloading, and repositioning products within the warehouse.
Additional Information:

This position is primarily manual and involves significant physical activity, including lifting and carrying heavy items. While you will occasionally operate a forklift counterbalance truck, strong manual handling skills are essential due to the nature of the work and the products involved.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Valid Forklift Counterbalance License.
Valid UK driving licence.
Proven experience in order picking and warehouse operations.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
