They are currently seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Sheffield, where you will play a key role in overseeing the Housing contract. Position Overview: You will primarily focus on the social housing projects, with a specific emphasis on a major contract. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the financial aspects of the contract. Your role will require you to be on-site 90% of the time, ensuring effective cost control and project delivery. This position comes with excellent benefits and an opportunity to work with a company boasting a £200 million turnover.
Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the financial aspects of the Homegroup contract. * Ensure effective cost control, budget management, and reporting. * Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to meet project goals. * Utilize your knowledge of JCT contracts and social housing. * Oversee refurbishment and electrical projects, focusing on kitchens, bathrooms, and related workstreams.
Qualifications and Requirements: * Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor. * Proficiency in JCT contracts and a background in social housing projects. * Strong knowledge of refurbishment and electrical work. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. * Full driving license and willingness to travel within Yorkshire.
