Job Title: Working Site Foreman

Location: Nationwide 

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (with flexibility for weekends as required)

Hours per Day: 11 hours

 

Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and personable Site Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, either through direct trade experience or through rising within the industry. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in team leadership, excels at building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, and can confidently manage projects from start to finish.

Projects typically last 4-6 weeks, often within live environments, requiring a proactive, organised, and client-focused professional.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessments & Method Statements:

    Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work to promote a safe working environment.

     

  • Progress Monitoring:

    Track and report on project progress against planned schedules.

     

  • Quality Inspections:

    Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work meets required standards.

     

  • Team Management:

    Coordinate and manage both internal staff and subcontractors to maintain efficiency and clear communication.

     

  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison:

    Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

     

  • Site Setup:

    Ensure proper site setup, organization, and logistical planning for materials and workforce.

     

  • Accurate Record Keeping:

    Maintain detailed site records and reports, including documentation of any issues or concerns.

     

  • Health & Safety Compliance:

    Enforce health and safety regulations and conduct site safety inspections regularly.

     

 

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Industry Experience:

    5-10 years in the construction industry with site management experience or a trade-based background.

     

  • Trade Knowledge:

    Hands-on experience in trades such as carpentry or decorating is highly beneficial.

     

  • Leadership & People Skills:

    Strong ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain a collaborative working environment.

     

  • Client-Facing Skills:

    Professional demeanour with a focus on customer service and relationship building.

     

  • Attention to Detail:

    A keen eye for quality and safety, ensuring high standards are consistently met.

     

  • IT Proficiency:

    Comfortable using basic IT tools and project management software.

     

 

Required Certifications:

  • Valid CSCS Card

     

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS

     

  • First Aid Certification

     

  • Fire Marshal Certification

     

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving License

     

  • Willingness to travel nationwide as required

     

  • Flexibility to work weekends and across various project locations
