Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (M&E & Small Works Division)

Location: Bolton

Salary: Up to £48,000 + package

The Company

Our client is a well-established main contractor with a strong presence across the North West, delivering high-quality projects across the public sector. Their portfolio includes Social Housing, Schools, Libraries, Hospitals, and wider public sector frameworks, alongside MTC (Measured Term Contracts) work.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their M&E and Small Works Division based in Bolton.

 

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a fast-paced and supportive commercial team. You will work across a variety of frameworks, managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple small works and M&E-related projects.

You will collaborate closely with the Commercial Director, Divisional Director, Commercial Manager, and wider team including a Trainee QS.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial and contractual administration across multiple projects

     

  • Work across frameworks delivering small works and M&E projects

     

  • Prepare and manage costings and variations

     

  • Complete CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and cash flow forecasts

     

  • Maximise project margins in collaboration with Contracts and Project Managers

     

  • Monitor costs to ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining quality standards

     

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor 

     

  • M&E experience is not essential

     

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple small works projects

     

  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

     

  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
