Job Specification: Assistant Estimator - Office Fit Out

Location: Manchester

Reporting to: Senior Estimator and Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting and Collaboration:
Report directly to the Senior Estimator and Commercial Manager.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project understanding.
Project Focus:
Specialize in office fit outs and refurbishments, predominantly on the CAT A and CAT B aspects.
Contribute to the estimating process for various projects, including pricing, tendering, and cost analysis.
Estimating Duties:
Assist in the preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
Collaborate with the project team to gather relevant information for precise estimations.
Engage in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.

Background:
Ideally possess a background in office fit outs, or extensive experience working with internals.

Salary:
Salary will be dependent on experience (DOE) but is expected to range from £25,000 to £40,000.

Location and Travel:
The role will be both office and site-based in Manchester.
Projects are located throughout the UK, requiring occasional travel.

Additional Benefits:
Car allowance to support travel requirements.
Bonus structure in addition to the base salary.

Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within office fit outs.
Strong understanding of CAT A and CAT B specifications and requirements.
Proficient in estimating duties, including pricing, tendering, and cost analysis.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
