Job Title: Commercial Claims Handler

Location: Leeds (Hybrid - 1 day WFH)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Time Recruitment is working with a well-regarded insurance firm in Morley, Leeds, to find a skilled Commercial Claims Handler with a solid background in property and liability.

About the Role:

If you're driven, proactive, and ready to manage a varied caseload across EL/PL, property, and motor, this could be your ideal next step. As a Commercial Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing commercial claims across EL/PL, property, and motor lines. You will conduct desktop investigations and site visits when required and maintain a structured diary system to track claim progress. Additionally, you will liaise with clients, insurers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues. You will also prepare comprehensive claims reports and management information (MI) and present claims information to clients, attending meetings when needed. Moreover, you will navigate complex claims in accordance with company procedures and stay updated through CPD while maintaining a working knowledge of Acturis.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial claims across EL/PL, property, and motor lines

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in property and liability claims handling
  • Strong grasp of insurance law, policy interpretation, and current case law
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills
  • Clear, confident communicator with solid written and verbal abilities
  • Organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing time effectively
  • Cert CII qualification (or actively working toward it - preferred)
  • Familiarity with Acturis (desirable) and Microsoft Office applications
