Job Title: Estimator / Senior Estimator - Workspace and Office Fit-Out
Competitive market-rate salary of £55,000 (DOE)
Location: Manchester (Hybrid), UK
About Us:
A leading workspace and office fit-out company based in Manchester. Specializing in delivering high-quality projects ranging from £100,000 up to £10 million. A diverse client base includes local authorities, MOD, and various commercial organizations. Seeking a skilled Estimator to join the team, responsible for performing the typical estimating duties including tenders, Bill of Quantities, rates, and documentation. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in the office.
Position Overview:
As an Estimator you will play a crucial role in the project success by providing accurate and competitive estimates for a wide range of workspace and office fit-out projects. These projects encompass CAT B, Office Fit-Outs, and Refurbishments for a diverse clientele. You will utilize pre and post-construction software to ensure precision in your estimations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for workspace and office fit-out projects.
Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities and pricing documents.
Collaborate with project teams to analyze project requirements and specifications.
Utilize pre and post-construction software to enhance estimating accuracy.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive pricing.
Evaluate and compare supplier quotations and negotiate pricing.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience in estimating roles, preferably within the workspace and office fit-out sector.
Strong knowledge of estimating principles, Bill of Quantities, and pricing documentation.
Proficiency in pre and post-construction software.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
