Project Manager - Office Fit Out (3-4 Years' Experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Office-based with regular site visits 

Overview

My client are seeking a motivated Project Manager with 3-4 years' experience in the commercial office fit out industry. This role will primarily be office-based, with visits to site depending on project stage. You will initially support a senior Project Manager, providing strong administrative and coordination support, before progressing to manage smaller projects independently.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support & Administration

  • Support an existing Project Manager across live projects.
  • Handle administrative duties including documentation, reporting, programming updates, issuing minutes, and maintaining project records.
  • Liaise with the professional team, who will assist with technical paperwork.
  • Maintain strong communication with subcontractors, site teams, and internal stakeholders.

Project Delivery

  • Assist in the management of Cat A refurbishments and Cat B office fit outs.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance.
  • Oversee smaller projects independently once familiar with processes.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Work closely with commercial, design, and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Project Portfolio

  • Office fit out projects ranging from £50K to £5M.
  • Majority of projects based in London, within approximately one hour of the office.
  • Commercial, Offices, Cat A and Cat B

Candidate Requirements

  • Industry-specific experience: previously worked for a commercial office fit-out contractor.
  • Experience with Cat A and Cat B office schemes.
  • Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment.
  • Willingness to travel to sites
  • 2-3 years minimum in similar roles, ideally progressing toward full project delivery responsibilities.
