Quantity Surveyor

Bristol

£55,000 DOE

Seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team in Bristol. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing costs and ensuring the success of multiple commercial projects across South, Southwest, and Wales regions for T1 contractor customers.
Specializing in drylining, suspended ceilings, acoustic and timber paneling, SFS, and plastering works. Projects typically span a 2-hour radius from Bristol. While primarily office-based, this role requires regular site visits to ensure the success of allocated projects.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare project-specific tender and contract documents.
* Monitor and control costs across various projects.
* Assess commercial risks and potential cost variations.
* Adapt budget projections based on design or work changes.
* Evaluate completed works and create invoices for contractors.
* Attend sites to ensure accurate monthly measures and valuations.
* Foster strong relationships with customers and workforce.

Essential Requirements:
* Minimum two years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
* Experience in commercial projects (e.g., education, leisure, office, MOD).
* Strong attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.
* Initiative-driven and a team player.
* Hold a valid UK driving license and CSCS card.

Advantageous Requirements:
* Previous experience with leading main contractors.
* Knowledge of drylining and suspended ceilings.
* Degree-level qualification in relevant field.
* Familiarity with arbitration processes.
