Are you an inspiring mental health leader ready to take the next step in your career? Time Recruitment is looking for a dynamic Registered Manager to lead this specialist mental health service and drive excellence in care.

This is your opportunity to join a trusted provider with over 35 years of experience delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support across England and Wales.

Why Join?

This 18‑bed hospital supports adults with complex mental health needs, offering structured therapeutic interventions, recovery‑focused care, and a safe, stable environment. Working under Welsh legislation and Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) standards, you'll lead a skilled multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with Local Health Boards, commissioners, and external partners.

This is a role where your leadership truly shapes lives, outcomes, and the future direction of the service.

What You'll Be Doing as a Registered Manager here:

As Registered Manager, you will take full operational, clinical, and regulatory responsibility for the hospital. You'll be the driving force behind:

  • Ensuring full compliance with HIW and Welsh Government standards
  • Leading safeguarding processes in line with Wales Safeguarding Procedures
  • Overseeing incidents, complaints, investigations, and organisational learning
  • Managing staffing, recruitment, induction, training, rotas, and Super 6 supervisions
  • Maintaining safe staffing levels and reducing agency reliance
  • Overseeing referrals, assessments, admissions, and occupancy
  • Completing pre‑admission assessments and confirming funding
  • Leading internal quality assurance with their Quality Compliance Team
  • Ensuring accurate, compliant clinical documentation and care plans
  • Managing budgets and financial monitoring
  • Driving service development and strategic planning
  • Providing visible, values‑driven leadership and promoting a positive culture
  • Supporting nurses with revalidation and professional development
  • Ensuring excellent infection prevention and control
  • Maintaining a safe, compliant environment at all times

This is a hands‑on leadership role where no two days are the same-and where your impact is felt across the entire service.

Who We're Looking For

You'll thrive in this Registered Manager role if you are:

  • A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration
  • An experienced leader from an inpatient or intensive mental health setting
  • Knowledgeable in Welsh mental health legislation and HIW requirements
  • Skilled in safeguarding, governance, and multi‑agency working
  • Confident in workforce planning, rotas, and staffing management
  • A strong communicator who leads by example
  • Values‑driven, compassionate, and committed to high‑quality care
  • Calm under pressure, decisive, and able to manage risk effectively
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and staff development

Ready to Lead With Purpose?

If you're motivated by making a real difference and want to join a respected organisation with a strong track record in mental health care, we'd love to hear from you apply for the Registered Manager role today!
