Job: Residential Deputy Manager
Location: Preston
Salary: £32,000
Hours: Primarily office hours with required flexibility
Our client is seeking a Children's Residential Deputy Manager in Preston. They provide top-tier residential care and education for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, SEBD, and complex needs related to challenging behaviour.

The facility is a 5-bed detached house, accommodating both genders aged 8 to 18. These youths may have histories of running away, vulnerability to sexual exploitation, or influence from alcohol and/or drugs.

Role Overview
The Deputy Manager's main role is to support the Registered Manager in creating a secure, consistent, and nurturing environment for the residents. The role includes occasional sleep-ins at the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in the leadership and management of the staff team
Handling daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the house and its activities
Setting high professional standards in communication, report writing, issue handling, and conflict resolution
Preparing meeting agendas, chairing meetings, and taking minutes
Training new staff on care procedures and routines
Assessing and addressing each young person's individual problems and needs
Assigning Key Workers to each young person

Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care and/or Children and Young People's Services or equivalent
Level 5 in Leadership and Management with children & young people (desirable, but must be completed within 2 years of starting the role)
Minimum of 3 years in a Residential Support Worker role
At least 2 years of experience leading/managing a team of support workers
Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
Willingness and flexibility to work office hours as well as additional hours as needed
