Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Working Hours: 44 hours per week

- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

- Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

- 60-minute paid lunch break and one 30-minute unpaid break daily

Salary: £13.50 per hour (Paid Weekly)

Bonus: £150 monthly performance bonus

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of warehouse processes, ensuring timely despatch of customer orders, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and stepping in for the Warehouse Manager or Team Leader when required. The role requires a hands-on approach and strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervisory Duties:

- Supervise and coordinate all picking, packing, and despatch activities for Boyes, Amazon, and Internet orders.

- Ensure all customer orders meet weekly despatch deadlines.

- Collaborate closely with the admin team to resolve any order issues or delays.

- Support stock take procedures as needed.

- Take full responsibility for supervisor-level tasks, including pallet order management, in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.

- Open and close the warehouse when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable.

General Warehouse Duties:

- Pick, pack, and wrap customer orders in line with company procedures, ensuring timely and accurate despatch.

- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in partnership with team members and leadership.

- Adhere to company health and safety standards, reporting any incidents or concerns to your line manager.

Other Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain effective communication with all staff and customers

- Participate in training and development programs as required to enhance job performance.

- Perform general office tasks including filing, stationery management, and maintaining a tidy workspace.

- Follow all company health and safety procedures.

- Undertake any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Directors.

Person Specification:

- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

- Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead a team and manage workflows in a deadline-driven environment.

- Flexible, reliable, and capable of working independently when required.
