Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Salary : £38,000 per annum

Position Overview: They are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fault diagnosis and repair of both electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring safe working practices, conducting routine maintenance, and providing technical support to various projects. Main Areas of Responsibility:
* Conduct fault diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical systems
* Follow safe working practices and complete risk assessments
* Identify root causes and resolve issues promptly
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as per schedule
* Identify maintenance spares required and coordinate with suppliers
* Provide technical support/input to projects and initiatives
* Perform routine maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and troubleshooting on production equipment
* Conduct tool repairs and basic engineering duties in the Toolroom (e.g., machining, turning, bench work)
* Collaborate effectively with production staff
* Assist outside contractors during equipment installation or servicing
* Maintain awareness of safety hazards and ensure a safe working environment
* Assist in basic tool making under the guidance of the Tool Room Supervisor

Key Performance Indicators:
* Timely completion of fault diagnoses and repairs
* Effective implementation of Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks
* Efficient coordination with suppliers for maintenance spares
* Quality technical support provided to projects and initiatives
* Smooth operation and maintenance of production equipment
* Effective tool repairs and engineering duties in the Toolroom
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Ideally, experience working within an extrusion manufacturing environment
* Apprentice trained with relevant qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, Safety trained)
* Qualification in manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience
* Proficient in VFD's (Motor Controller) and PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller)
